We are enjoying these early spring days, here in Kintyre.
We are very busy, and there has been a lot of work to do – work of a shipping-a-just-published-and-sold-out-book kind, of an intense-preparation-for-our-next-project kind, and of a moving-into-a-mill transition kind. I feel extraordinarily busy, and I feel a wee bit tired, but I am definitely not complaining, because every day I get to revive myself with a walk (or two) on a beautiful Kintyre beach!
I cannot believe that every day I get to see the Mull of Kintyre . . .
. . .Sanda Island . . .
. . .and the Paps of Jura . . .
. . .against this glorious, ever-changing foreground of pounding waves and pebbled shore.
In case you were wondering, the dogs love these new horizons too.
Every day heralds another SWIM . . .
. . . or a joyous opportunity to run around with BALL!
A few days ago, I heard larks singing in the dunes and saw new lambs on the hill.
What a gift it is, in all weathers, to be able to walk around the Kintyre coast this spring!
Thanks for all the posts.
Thanks for posting ‘Colour at Work’ when you said ……. looking forward to getting stuck in and absorbing it all.
Thanks for including Tom’s pictures of the 🌈 rainbows . Take your time to enjoy…… Ellen x

So lovely. Here in East Lothian we’re still waiting for the sky larks and lambs but you’re reminding me it won’t be too long now. It truly feels like a long winter this year.

It looks beautiful and you sound so happy. I hope Bob hasn’t found any dead wildlife to roll in! Can you row across to Jura for dram supplies. Jura is quite a nice whisky😉

Kate, thank you so much for sharing this joyful transition with us. The photos are gorgeous! What drama and grace. As someone who mostly only visits places that make my heart sing, I am thrilled that you have found your way to live that beauty. It give me hope that I’ll get there one day, too!

What a place to be! I keep wanting to break into Paul McCartney’s Mull of Kintyre when I see your photos. I should think Tom is in his element along with the dogs, having so much to photograph. I hope you’ll be very happy there. I look forward to seeing more. 😊
